Square Enix confirmed what everyone suspected: Final Fantasy VII is getting a remake, and it's coming to PS4. The announcement came at E3 2015, where directors Tetsuya Nomura and Kazushige Nojima, from the original series, are returning for this new version.
Nomura stated that the Final Fantasy VII remake is already in production, and a release date should be announced soon.
In the game FF VII , the player embodies one of the most beloved characters in the Final Fantasy series, Cloud Strife, a mercenary who is part of an eco-terrorist group led by the explosive Barret Wallace. The first mission is to blow up one of the Mako reactors (energy generated from the Lifestream, the "life" of the planet) belonging to the Shinra corporation, which controls a large part of the world.
