Due to the biggest Nerd fair, Comic-Con in San Diego, this weekend, the official PlayStation exclusively released a trailer for Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns.

According to the official PlayStation Blog, new details about the game's gameplay were also revealed. A new battle system allows players to destroy parts of enemy monsters, disabling their physically demanding attacks. It will also allow the player to win different prizes at the end of each battle. Additionally, a new counterattack system allows the player to fully counter his opponents' physical attacks. The blog also revealed a new location, a battle arena called “The Slaughterhouse”.
Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns will be released in Japan from November 21st, next year in the United States and later in Europe.
