Due to the biggest Nerd fair, Comic-Con in San Diego, this weekend, the official PlayStation exclusively released a trailer for Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns.

According to the official PlayStation Blog, new gameplay details were also revealed. A new battle system allows players to destroy parts of enemy monsters, disabling their physically demanding attacks. Players will also be able to earn different rewards at the end of each battle. Additionally, a new counterattack system allows players to fully counter their opponents' physical attacks. The blog also revealed a new location, a battle arena called "The Slaughterhouse."
Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns will be released in Japan from November 21st, next year in the United States and later in Europe.
