The Fire Force manga is heading towards its final stretch, according to the author himself, Atsushi Ohkubo .
The information was revealed through the author's comments in volume 23. Volume 24 is scheduled for release on July 17th.
The author also revealed that this will be his last work ; see the author's comment below:
"The story is in its final stages, both for the manga and for me personally. I intend for this to be my last manga, so please follow me until the end."
Atsushi Ohkubo is the author of the acclaimed " Soul Eater ," and he launched " Fire Force " with Kodansha Comics in September 2015 .
