In Ghost in the Shell, also known as Ghost in the Shell, Major Mokoto Kusanagi , a cybernetic police officer, fights to bring justice to the streets of her futuristic megacity. The new animated film will be a prequel and will portray Mokoto's youth. The film will be divided into four 50-minute parts. Starting with "Ghost Pain," it will be shown in Japanese theaters on June 22nd and will be released on Blu-ray on July 26th. Tow Ubukata, the creator of Mardock Scramble, is writing the script, and Kazuchika Kise will be the main director. The soundtrack is by musician and producer Cornelius .
