The synopsis for the special, announced in April, will reveal the disappearance of the protagonists of both series, Natsu and Haru , prompting their companions Lucy and Elie to begin a frantic search for them. Fairy Tail x Rave was published in a special magazine by Kodansha in May 2011. In addition to the material already created for the crossover, Mashima is also working on new scenes for the anime. The OAD will be released on August 16th alongside volume 39 of the Fairy Tail manga.
