The anime Food Wars! (Shokugeki No Souma) will have its second season scheduled for 2016. The announcement came through the cover of the monthly magazine “Shonen Jump”, in addition the news highlights by informing that the OAD dedicated to the “Aldini” brothers will be sold with the edition special of the 18th volume of the compilation that goes on sale in May 2016 in Japan.
The first season had 24 episodes and arrived in May, ending in September of that year. Crunchyroll is currently showing the first season.
The story revolves around Yukihira Souma, who has the dream of becoming a chef at his father's restaurant and surpassing his father's cooking. But as soon as Yukihira graduates from elementary school, her father, Jouichirou, closes the restaurant to go cook in Europe. Despite being down, Souma's fighting spirit is rekindled when his father challenges him to survive at an elite culinary school where only 10% of students graduate.
