The partnership was initially teased with the hero's iconic workout routine: "100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and 10km run! Every day!!!" . Shortly after, the official announcement was accompanied by a classic Saitama line: "Finished with one punch again... Damn!!!" .
Created by ONE in 2009 as a webcomic, One Punch Man received a digital remake with art by Yusuke Murata in 2012, serialized on Tonari no Young Jump . However, in the West, the work is published by Viz Media in Weekly Shonen Jump .
The first season of the anime, produced by MADHOUSE , premiered in 2015 and quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. The second season, animated by JC Staff , premiered in 2019. The third season was announced in August 2024 and premiered in October of this year, also marking the anime's 10th anniversary .
Saitama's arrival reinforces Epic's strategy of integrating major Japanese franchises into the Fortnite universe. However, before One Punch Man , the game had already featured collaborations with Naruto , Dragon Ball , Attack on Titan , and Jujutsu Kaisen , all of which were hugely successful among fans.
With the confirmation, players are eagerly awaiting to find out what exclusive items and game modes will accompany the strongest hero in the anime universe.
