Kyoto Animation has released its new trailer for the second season of Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club. The video originally premiered in Akihabara , Tokyo two weekends ago. It showed a new character Sōsuke Yamazaki , Rin's best friends from elementary school .
Kyoto Animation announced the new season at an event in January. The first season ended with a “We’ll see you next summer” message in the final episode.”
Free! revolves around the character Haruka Nanase , a boy who has always loved being in the water and swimming. Before graduating from elementary school, he and his swimming club classmates (Makoto Tachibana, Hazuki Nagisa, and Rin Matsuoka) participated in a tournament. After winning, everyone went their own way individually.
