Kyoto Animation released the first teaser for the second season of the anime Free! (Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club), the trailer was released at the AnimeJapan 2014 event, in the video, Haruka (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki), says: “ As promised, I have arrived. ”

Kyoto Animation announced the new season at an event in January. The first season ended with a "We'll see you next summer" message in the final episode.

Free! revolves around the character Haruka Nanase , a boy who has always loved being in the water and swimming. Before graduating from elementary school, he participated in a tournament with his fellow swimmers (Makoto Tachibana, Hazuki Nagisa, and Rin Matsuoka). After winning, each went their separate ways.
