The official website has released a new trailer for the anime From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman (Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru). Additionally, we learned the series' expected premiere date.
However, the premiere will take place in the April 2025 season with animation by the studio Passione x Hayabusa Film.
Synopsis From Old Country Bumpkin:
Beryl Gardnant is a middle-aged fencing master who owns a small dojo in a rural area. But the days when he aspired to the top as a swordsman are long gone. Now, he lives a quiet life, accepting his abilities. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when Allucia, one of his former students who has now become the captain of the Order of Knights of the Kingdom, appears at his door after ten years.
