The official website announced the new trailer for the anime From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman (Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru). In addition, we learned the expected premiere date for the series.
However, the premiere will take place in the April 2025 season with animation from the Passione x Hayabusa Film studio.
Synopsis From Old Country Bumpkin:
Beryl Gardnant is a middle-aged fencing master who owns a small dojo in a rural area. But the days of him aiming for the top as a swordsman are long gone. Now, he lives a peaceful life, accepting his abilities. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when Allucia, one of his former students who has now become the captain of the Order of Knights of the Kingdom, appears on his doorstep after ten years.
