The 25th episode of season 2 of Fruits Basket announced the new season titled " Fruits Basket: The Final, " which premieres in 2021.

The final season will conclude the story adapted from Natsuki Takaya , depicting the reason why the head of the Souma family, Akito, clings to the bonds of the zodiac members and tries to trap them with fear. His past will finally come to light.

Furthermore, the image published on the official website to announce the final season is a compilation of illustrations that Takaya posted on his Twitter after each episode of the 2nd season.

Furthermore, the second season of Fruits Basket premiered on April 6th in Japan. The new version of the anime has a different cast and staff than the 2001 anime, at Takaya's request.

Staff

Yoshihide Ibata ( FLCL Progressive ) is the director at TMS Entertainment . Taku Kishimoto ( 91 Days ) is the screenwriter. Masaru Shindou ( Oregairu ) did the character design. Takaya herself served as executive supervisor.

Finally, the first season of the anime premiered in April 2019 in Japan with 25 episodes. Funimation and Crunchyroll streamed the anime. The first version of the anime in 2001 was made by Studio Deen and licensed by Funimation.

Furthermore, Natsuki Takaya's manga was published between 1998 and 2006 by Hakusensha in the magazine Hana to Yume , concluding with 23 volumes. JBC released the manga in Brazil in 2005.
