Fruits Basket, the popular manga by author Natsuki Takaya, is returning after nine years. At the time, the pages were a worldwide success, including in Brazil, where it was published by the beloved publisher JBC.
The edition will be a collector's edition, with two volumes per issue, starting on September 4th in Japan. The edition totals 12 volumes with a sequel titled " Fruits Basket Another ".
This new story will take place at the same high school, but after the original characters' graduation, and will feature a new protagonist named Sawa. Chapters will be released every Friday on the manga website HanaLaLa Online, also starting September 4th.
Therefore, Animax in Japan will begin broadcasting the series, with a total of 26 episodes starting with the first episode on September 2, the second episode will air on September 27, with future episodes on Sundays.
Finally, the Fruits Basket manga tells the story of Tohru Honda, an orphan girl who, after meeting Yuki, Kyo and Shigure Sohma, discovers that the thirteen members of the Sohma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac.
