Fruits Basket, the popular manga by author Natsuki Takaya, is returning after 9 years. At the time, its pages were a worldwide success, including in Brazil where it was published by the beloved JBC publishing house.
This will be a collector's edition, with two volumes per edition, starting on September 4th in Japan. The edition will total 12 volumes with a sequel titled " Fruits Basket Another ".
This new story will take place at the same school, but after the graduation of the original characters, and will feature a new protagonist named Sawa. Chapters will be released every Friday on the HanaLaLa Online manga website, also starting September 4th.
Therefore, Animax in Japan will begin airing the series, with a total of 26 episodes, starting with the first episode on September 2nd, the second episode airing on September 27th, with future episodes on Sundays.
Finally, the Fruits Basket manga tells the story of Tohru Honda, an orphaned girl who, after meeting Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Sohma, discovers that the thirteen members of the Sohma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac.
