We have released the full trailer for the Japanese live-action film Tokyo Ghoul . Adapted from the manga published in 2011, the story follows a young university student who becomes aware of the existence of human-devouring creatures called "Ghouls." The manga originally ran for ten chapters and was later adapted into an animated series.
The film premiered in Japan on July 29th, ranking 5th at the box office during its opening weekend.
The film is directed by Kentarō Hagiwara, with Masataka Kubota (Death Note live-action) as Ken Kaneki, Fumika Shimizu (My Neighbor Seki live-action) as Tōka Kirishima, Yuu Aoi (Megumi from Samurai X live-action) as Rize Kamishiro, Nobuyuki Suzuki (from EXILE) as Kōtarō Amon, and Yo Oizumi (Layton's voice actress in Professor Layton) as Kureo Mado.
