According to a news article published on the popular website Otakomo , our beloved Fullmetal Alchemist will get a live-action film scheduled for release in 2017. The article also states that the film is in development for next year. Actor Ryosuke Yamada , from the group Hey!Say!JUMP, will star in the film as Edward Elric... HAHAHA lol
The author recently had his work as Nagisa Shiota in the live-action adaptation of Assassination Classroom .
The manga had two anime adaptations, one between 2003 and 2004 with 51 episodes, airing in October, and featuring a different storyline from the manga. The second series, a complete success due to its faithfulness to the manga, contained 64 episodes and aired between April 2009 and July 2010, titled Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
