Square Enix launched a new website on Thursday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hiromu Arakawa 's Fullmetal Alchemist manga . The website, "vengeance-scar.jp," will announce new projects for the franchise's anniversary.
Additionally, the website also features a visual featuring the character Scar, and a countdown that ends on March 2nd. The same visual appears on flyers distributed in movie theaters.
The manga celebrated its 20th anniversary on July 12th last year.
Arakawa's work was published in Monthly Shonen Gangan anime adaptations in 2003 and 2009, two OVAs, two films and a live-action film.
Finally Similar to the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime, the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is based on the original manga by Hiromu Arakawa, although Brotherhood hews closer to the manga's story and ending.
