Funimation confirmed today, August 9th, the official purchase of Crunchyroll . According to reports, the final deal value reached US$1.175 billion .
Crunchyroll has over 5 million subscribers. It serves approximately 120 million registered users, offering anime , games, manga, event merchandise, and distribution.
Finally, the agreement offers Crunchyroll and Funimation the opportunity to expand distribution to their content partners and broaden fan-centric offerings for consumers.
