This time, the journey takes place in Mie, Japanese province famous for its history, nature and gastronomy. The player takes on the role of a novice reporter who runs through the motorcycle region, collecting information for a tourist articles contest. For four virtual weeks, he visits sights, interacts with characters and writes articles, simulating the routine of a travel journalist.
In addition to terrestrial exploration, the game brings a novelty: the ship mode, which allows you to travel to the region's islands browsing the sea. With graphics that use real images of the scenarios, Fuuiki 5 seeks to provide a highly immersive experience for those who want to know Japan without leaving home.
Realistic trip and new exploration mechanics
One of the great differentials of Fuuraiki 5 is visual fidelity. The game uses real 360 degrees filming, allowing the player to explore Mie's roads as if he was riding a real motorcycle. Along the way, it is possible to rotate the camera freely and observe landscape details.
The gameplay has also been improved with the Curve Expression, a system that makes curves smoother and more natural, improving motorcycle control. The game also includes a mini-clue, facilitating navigation and preventing the player from getting lost.
Another novelty is naval mode, which expands the possibilities of exploration. Now, the player can use boats to access remote places such as Dolphin Island, where it is possible to interact with marine animals and learn more about local fauna.
Gastronomy, Tourism and Romance in the same script
Explore Mie is not limited to landscapes. Local cuisine is also highlighted in the game, allowing the player to try typical dishes such as Ise Udon and Tonteki, presented with rich detail to increase the realism of the experience.
The variety of places to be visited also impresses. With more than 100 sights available, the game offers from known attractions, such as Nagashima Spa Land, a amusement park famous for its roller coasters, to less exploited places, such as Maruyama Senmaida, one of the most beautiful land plantations in Japan. The game encourages repeated visits, revealing changes in scenarios and new stories as the player progresses.
In addition, Fuuraiki 5 introduces an element of romance. Three female characters follow the journey, each with their own story. The player can develop a relationship with them or totally focus on the journalistic career, seeking the best rating in the Miecom contest.
Original classic arrives on PC in March
Prior to the arrival of Fuuiki 5, Nippon Ichi Software will also bring the first PC franchise game. Fuuraiki (1996) will be released via Steam on March 27, 2025, giving fans the chance to revisit the title that gave rise to the series. Originally released for PlayStation 1, the game has established the exploration and narrative format that remains to this day.
For those who already want to know more about PC gameplay, a demonstrative video has been released, showing how the experience adapts to the platform.
Special editions for collectors
In addition to the default edition, Fuuiki 5 will have limited versions for franchise fans. First-Run Limited Edition for 13,200 yen will include a special box, a soundtrack and an art book. Nippon1.JP Shop Limited Edition, sold by 16,500 yen, will bring even more exclusive items, such as a pass case and a collectible sticker.
With improved graphics, new features and expansion to the PC, Fuuraiki 5 promises to be the most complete experience in the series so far. For travel lovers, Japanese culture and immersive simulations, the game presents itself as an a must -see option.
