Gundam franchise continues to surprise fans! As a new anime prepares to premiere in North American theaters, another fan-favorite series is returning with exciting news. 90s hit Mobile Fighter G Gundam Mobile Fighter G Gundam Gaiden: The East is Burning . Protagonist Domon Kasshu will be back, but this time with an impressive new mecha!

The return of Domon Kasshu and the new God Gundam II

For those who need a refresher, Domon began his journey in G Gundam with the iconic Shining Gundam , used in world fighting tournaments and famous for the legendary Shining Finger . However, when facing the powerful Devil Gundam , he lost his first robot and received an upgrade: the God Gundam , one of the franchise's most iconic mechas. Now, with the sequel, Domon will gain a new version: the God Gundam II .

The new story will introduce two new main characters, Master Junior and H , while Domon takes on a supporting role. Promotional materials also reveal that the new mecha will feature an improved Core Lander God Gundam II is also expected Gunpla version , leaving collectors excited!

An official sequel

While there's no confirmation of an anime yet, the sequel is considered official canon , as the plot was created by Yasuhiro Imagawa , the original director. The story takes place 12 years after the DG Incident , when Gundam combat was suspended to eliminate the contamination known as "DG Dust."

Master Junior encounters H , a mysterious girl in Shinjuku carrying a massive sroban and seeking a hidden treasure called the Oriental Pearl Touhou martial arts school , leading the duo to seek Domon for answers.
