After a brief hiatus this week, the Gachiakuta anime returns in full force with its third episode, scheduled for July 27, 2025. As announced, the preview released highlights two new characters: Zanka and Riyo , as well as revealing the technical team involved. The animation remains under the care of the studio BONES FILM , while the international broadcast continues with Crunchyroll .
What to expect from episode 3 of Gachiakuta
Titled "Lower World ," the episode marks a major turning point for Rudo. Now aware of his powers as a Giver—individuals capable of giving life and power to objects—he is recruited by Enjin to join the "Cleaners." This organization fights creatures formed from garbage, but Rudo's adaptation to the new reality will not be so simple.
Early on, he clashes with Zanka , his direct instructor, which promises tension and character development early in the episode. Riyo is also expected to play a key role, although details about her are still scarce.
The manga continues to gain momentum
Kei Urana , the author of the original work, continues publishing the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine . To date, 15 volumes have been released in Japan—the most recent dated June 17. Additionally, Kodansha USA began publishing the manga in English in January 2024, expanding the series' global reach.
The Gachiakuta universe grows boldly, both visually and conceptually. Zanka's introduction promises to shake up the plot and enrich Rudo's journey. The third episode seems poised to establish significant internal conflicts, as well as expand the layers of this twisted, garbage-filled world—literally and metaphorically.
