Thus, the action manga Gachiakuta revolves around a young man living in the alleys of a floating city who is falsely accused of murdering the man who raised him. As punishment, he is thrown into the abyss along with all the garbage, where ferocious creatures roam and scavengers fight them. The boy is determined to survive in this wasteland and exact revenge on the real killer who framed him.
Gachiakuta finally began serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2022. In March 2024, the series collected its individual chapters into 10 tankōbon volumes. Kodansha USA also announced that it has licensed the series for English publication in 2023.
