NieR: Automata, a game by PlatinumGames and Yoko Taro, will be released for Xbox One on June 26th. The game is from Square Enix and is titled NieR: Automata Become as Gods.

NieR: Automata takes place in the same universe as Nier, a spin-off of Drakengard.
The synopsis reads: The distant future… Invaders from another world attacked without warning, unleashing a new kind of threat: weapons known as “machine lifeforms.” Faced with this insurmountable threat, humanity is forced to leave Earth and take refuge on the Moon. The Council of Humanity organizes a resistance of android soldiers in an effort to reclaim their planet. To break the stalemate, the Resistance launches a new android infantry unit: YoRHa. In the abandoned desert area below, the war between machines and androids continues.
