Netmarble has confirmed that the RPG Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will be officially released on May 21 for PC and mobile devices. The final version of the game will be available for free at stores such as Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Google Play and App Store.
The title has been in early access since March, when it received adjustments based on community feedback. The main change involves field heads, which now have matchmaking for up to 12 simultaneous players.
Changes in the progression system increase gameplay rhythm
One of the most recurring criticisms during the tests was RP's scarcity, a feature that limits players' actions within the game. The project director, Hyunil Jang, said the company analyzes ways to expand daily PR supply. In addition, new content that does not require the feature will be included to maintain the engagement of Game of Thrones players: Kingsroad.
Exploration missions and cooperative activities will enter the available task catalog even after the end of the PR. According to Jang, the goal is to ensure that the gaming experience is not abruptly interrupted. Currently, it is still possible to explore scenarios or face enemies without RP, but the team recognizes that the system needs adjustments.
Another point changed was the frequency with which bosses appear on the map. Earlier, they emerged so regularly that players could not organize in groups. Now they will be rarer, which facilitates team formation and reinforces the collaborative aspect of gameplay.

Known for its importance in the Game of Thrones series, but little explored in games, the area comes with dense scenarios and darker themes.
