A new trailer for the animated series was published by the official GARO channel, this time full of action and state-of-the-art effects. Garo-Honoo no Kokuin is based on the successful tokusatsu in Japan.
Yasuko Kobayashi (Bizarre Adventure JoJo, Attack on Titan) will write the new story and Yuichiro Hayashi will direct. Studio Mappa (Shingeki no Bahamut Gênesis, Hajime no Ippo) will direct the animation. The series is scheduled to arrive in autumn this year in Japan.
Garo has a dark story that revolves around humans who are tasked with being “Makai Knights,” people who fight demonic beings called Horrors. The first TV series in the franchise revolves around Saejima, who tries to save a girl named Kaoru from her fate of death after being contaminated by demon blood.
The Garo Project began in 2005, with the series first airing in 2006, with 25 episodes.
