Animation studio Tatsunoko (Baccano, Blue Exorcist) announced that it is recruiting staff for the second season of the Gatchaman Crowds 2 . The news also lists that the anime should arrive in 2015. Last year in October its continuation announced
Gatchaman Crowds is a 2013 anime series produced by Tatsunoko Production. It is the fifth Japanese animation project based on the original 1972 anime Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, and is directed by Kenji Nakamura. The series aired on NTV between July 12, 2013, and September 27, 2013, and was simulcast on Crunchyroll.
The story takes place in Japan in the early summer of 2015. 180,000 people live in the city of Tachikawa, the "second metropolis" of the Tokyo area. Among these people are the "Gatchaman"—warriors who fight in special reinforced suits and are empowered by "NOTE," the manifestation of special spiritual powers in living beings. A council has escorted a group of individuals with latent powers to protect Earth from alien criminals. In the present day, the council has assigned Gatchaman warriors to deal with the mysterious entity known as "MESS."
