Animation studio Tatsunoko (Baccano, Blue Exorcist) announced that it is recruiting staff for the second season of the Gatchaman Crowds 2 . The news also lists that the anime should arrive in 2015. Last year, in October, its continuation announced
Gatchaman Crowds is a 2013 anime series produced by Tatsunoko Production. It is the fifth Japanese animation project produced based on the original 1972 Ninja Science anime Team Gatchaman, and is directed by Kenji Nakamura. The series aired on NTV between July 12, 2013 and September 27, 2013 and was simulcast on Crunchyroll.
The story takes place in Japan, in the early summer of 2015. 180,000 people live in the city of Tachikawa, the “second metropolis” of the Tokyo area. Among these people, there are the “Gatchaman” — warriors who fight in special reinforced suits who receive power from “NOTE”, the manifestation of special spiritual powers in living beings. A council escorted a group of individuals with latent powers to protect Earth from alien criminals. In the present years, the council has assigned Gatchaman warriors to deal with the mysterious entity known as “MESS”.
