The staff of the anime Gegege no Kitarou , which has been airing for two years, revealed this Tuesday that it will be finished in March, but its place on Japanese TV will be taken in April by the new remake series of Digimon Adventure , airing every Sunday at 9 am (JST).
However, the news comes to dash all hopes of a possible return of Dragon Ball Super , which previously held the spotlight. The anime premiered in April 2018. And on October 6th of last year, it entered its final arc, titled "Nurarihyon Arc."
Produced by Fuji TV and Toei Animation, the anime has unfortunately ended. For those who haven't seen it, it's still available and streaming on Crunchyroll. To watch the anime, click here .
Finally, Gegege no Kitarou is based on the classic manga by Shigeru Mizuki , originally published from 1960 to 1969 in Shonen Magazine (Kodansha). The story addresses Japanese folklore, especially youkai (demons). And the main character, Kitarou , fights for peace between humans and youkai.
