HoYoverse has confirmed the official details for Phase 1 of the Genshin Impact 5.8 update banners. The new Electro character, Ineffa, will make her debut alongside the first rerun of Cryo support Citlali. The banners will be available between July 30th and August 19th, 2025.

Phase 1 Characters: Ineffa Debuts and Citlali Returns
In the new banner phase, Genshin Impact introduces a new character and brings back a beloved community figure. Ineffa arrives as a five-star Electro unit, equipped with a spear and specialized in off-field damage. Her mechanics revolve around the new Lunar-Charged reaction, which will be introduced in this version. In addition to dealing damage, she offers defensive utility by creating shields.
Citlali, meanwhile, returns for the first time since her debut. The character acts as a Cryo support and stands out for her continuous elemental application and ability to generate shields. Her versatility allows for effective team combinations focused on reactions like Fusion and Freeze.
