In a world called Teyvat, a select few have received a vision—stones that grant their bearers the ability to control an element (fire, water, ice, wind, earth, and electricity)—from the Archons, beings as powerful as Gods who govern each part or city of the world of Teyvat under the name "The Seven." Each Archon is responsible for an element (hence the name "the seven"). The player begins as a traveler of unknown origin searching for their lost sibling. However, can choose whether the traveler is male or female.
