Genshin Impact presents Skirk and Dahlia for version 5.7

HoyOvers has confirmed the arrival of two new playable characters in Genshin Impact. Skirk and Dahlia will be available from version 5.7 of the game, scheduled to be released after the current phase 5.6 is closed. The revelation took place through the traditional developer's promotional material, known as “Drip Marketing”, which anticipates future content.

Skirk is a Cryo element user and will have five star rating. Already Dahlia, from element Hydro, will be a four -star character. Both have distinct styles and stories, with direct connection to the central plot of the game. Skirk, for example, had already appeared on a previous mission in the Fontaine region as a mentor of the character Tartaglia.

Skirk reveals mysterious past and dark power

Described as the “emptiness star,” Skirk carries an enigmatic aura linked to the underworld of Khaenri'Ah. Its trajectory involves striking events after the collapse of an ancient civilization, today forgotten. When he wields a sword and manipulating Cryo, it stands out as potential DPS (character focused on causing damage) in team compositions.

The character presents a connection with forces that go beyond the limits of the known world. According to the tradition of the underground region, exploring the universe and the abyss represents the same challenge: facing the dark unknown. Skirk grew in the midst of chaos and, as he matured, began to save others who also suffered in the hands of fate.

His title of “Disciple of the Sinner, Master of the Fool” reinforces the connection with themes of sacrifice and teaching. However, it seems to be reluctant to the idea of having disciples, suggesting a past marked by unwanted loss and responsibilities. The constellation of Skirk, Crystalina, and his aesthetics inspired by mystical snakes complete the character's enigmatic profile.

In terms of gameplay, leaks point out that Skirk will have powerful skills, with normal attacks and passive talents aimed at direct combat. In addition, players who already have Escoffier, current character in version 5.6, can benefit from combining them in combat.

Dahlia mixes faith and irreverence in Mondstadt

Dahlia emerges as the charismatic figure of Mondstadt, known as the "Deacon of Divine Ode." However, unlike the typical seriousness of religious leaders, he prefers to solve disputes with lightness and good humor. An example quoted in the promotional material involves an attempt to end an enmity leading the rivals to a tavern to drink together.

With a strong connection to the Anemo arconte, Dahlia is often sought by residents in search of advice or blessings. Even so, he is accessible and willing to listen to everyone's concerns. It is not uncommon to see him out of the cathedral, walking through the markets and interacting with people looking for something to solve.

His vision Hydro, coupled with the Cantus Choralis constellation, indicates a more fluid, perhaps supported style of struggle. Although Hoyoverse has not disclosed details about its skills, the setting suggests that it can assist allies during confrontations, using water as a healing or control tool.

Dahlia represents a lighter and inspiring facet of the GENSHIN Impact . Its friendly stance, coupled with a certain crushing ceremonial, makes it a remarkable presence among the new characters in the 5.7 update. Thus, the HoyOverse bets on the diversity of profiles to maintain the interest of the community.
