The official website Ghost in the Shell franchise has been updated and released a new trailer for the film, which will be released this year. The video shows several scenes from the previous films, followed by the new animated film.

Kazuchika Kise (main director of Ghost in the Shell Arise) will serve as chief director of Project IG, and will also design the characters. Tow Ubukata (Ghost in the Shell Arise) will handle the script.

The Japanese premiere takes place on April 20th in Japan.
