Ghost in the Shell: New anime gets teaser and logo

Science SARU studio released the second teaser for its new adaptation of Ghost in the Shell during Anime Expo. The new anime , which premieres in 2026, also revealed its official logo, created by renowned artist Hajime Sorayama Sexy Robot series .

According to the producers, the new anime will remain faithful to Masamune Shirow . Furthermore, the script is nearly finished, with storyboards underway. The team showcased the previously released visual art again, now featuring Sorayama's logo.

The series will be directed by Mokochan , who debuts in this role after serving as an animator on works such as DANDADAN and The Heike Story . The script will be supervised by Toh Enjoe ( Space Dandy , Godzilla Singular Point ), while Shūhei Handa will handle character design and animation direction.

Ghost in the Shell to Open in Los Angeles

However, it wasn't just the anime that received news. It was announced that the exhibition "The World of Shirow Masamune – The Ghost in the Shell and the Path of Creation" will be brought to Los Angeles. In Japan, it will remain open until August 17th at the Setagaya Literary Museum in Tokyo.

Shirow himself commented on this new adaptation. According to him, this will be the tenth animated version of the work, possibly representing the beginning of a second generation of the franchise.
