According to the international news website Variety , “Scarlett Johansson”, who you know as “lucy” and “Black Widow” in the Avengers, has been confirmed to play the character “Motoko Kusanagi” (Major) in the feature film Ghost in the Shell – or Ghost of the Future here in Brazil.
Since 2014, Dreamworks had been looking for an actress for the role, and Margot Robbie to play the character.
The plot follows the original story of the anime/manga in which Major Mokoto Kusanagi, a cybernetic police officer, fights to bring justice to the streets of her Japanese megacity, in a dystopian future. Former Marvel executive Avi Arad (Spider-Man ) is one of the film's producers.
