Netflix announced during its live event Netflix Festival Japan 2021 that it will stream the second season of the anime Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 worldwide in 2022.
The first season premiered on Netflix worldwide in April 2020, with a total of 12 episodes.
Terashima-Furuta , the president of IG Production , stated during an interview that the anime would have two seasons of 12 episodes each, with Kenji Kamiyama directing one season and Shinji Aramaki directing the other.
