Sucker Punch finished the development of Ghost of Yōtei and then the game received age ranking in Taiwan. This record confirms that the sent version already contains all the foreseen elements. Hours later, Sony officially announced the release date: the title reaches the PlayStation 5 on October 2.
The international classification, required before marketing, confirms the presence of violence, improper language, alcohol and tobacco use. The content follows the ripe line of Ghost of Tsushima, a predecessor that enshrined the franchise in the universe of samurai.
Game expands the map and bet on new characters
The new protagonist, ATU, survived a massacre and goes in search of revenge. With a symbolic katana, she faces the six of Yōtei, a group of villains with different skills. Thus, the player can decide the order of each confrontation, shaping the narrative based on the choices made.
The map is 30% higher than Tsushima and brings new biomes, mini games and parallel activities. The expansion of the open world reinforces the proposal of total immersion. In addition, the title promises a more dynamic experience, with freedom to explore and advance history in their own rhythm.
Among the antagonists are snake, Oni, Kitsune, Spider, Dragon and Lord Saito. Each offers specific challenges, requiring varied strategies. The released trailer has revealed part of these combat and ambiance, which mixes historical and fictional elements accurately.
Sony opens pre-sale in May with three editions available
Pre-sale will start on May 2, with digital, physical and collector editions. The basic version will only bring the game. Deluxe includes extra items such as armor and an exclusive horse. The collector edition will have statuette, mask and bag with coins.
Sony has not yet released official prices, but the standard edition should come out for about $ 350 in Brazil. Already the collector package, one of the most complete of the brand, aims the public that values physical items and exclusive content.
PlayStation Store already allows you to add the game to the wish list. The expectation of the community is high, and Sony bets on a broad marketing campaign to reach both loyal players and new audiences.
Launch seeks space among other great titles of the year
The announcement of the official date was calculated. By 2025, Sony already has Death Stranding 2 scheduled for June and Marathon in September. The choice of October aims to avoid conflicts with other releases and maintain the focus on the new PS5 exclusive.
