Ghost-Stands-Alone

Ghost in the Shell Arise website has released a 9-minute trailer for the fourth installment of the Ghost Stands Alone sequel. The film premieres in Japan on September 6th.

The fourth story takes place amid signs of post-war reconstruction, in the winter of 2028. Tensions are rising in New Port City as demonstrations are held regarding the interests of foreign cartels. This leads to an incident involving riot police. It all started with a cyberbrain infection spread by the terrorist "Fire Starter." An independent offensive unit led by Makoto Kusanagi entrusts the suppression of the situation to its ghosts and aims for its own justice.

The third episode, titled "border:3 Ghost Tears," opened in select theaters in June, and shipped on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan on July 25. Funimation licensed the four-part anime and released the first episode of a special imported edition in August.
