Ghost in the Shell Arise website has released a 9-minute video of the fourth part of the Ghost Stands Alone sequel. The premiere takes place in Japan on September 6th.
The fourth story takes place amid signs of post-war reconstruction, in the winter of 2028. Tensions are rising in New Port City as demonstrations are held concerning foreign cartel interests. This leads to an incident involving riot police. It all started with a cyberbrain infection released by the terrorist “Fire Starter.” An independent offensive unit led by Makoto Kusanagi entrusts the suppression of the situation to their ghosts and aims for their own justice.
The third episode, titled “border:3 Ghost Tears,”. It opened in select theaters in June, and shipped on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan on July 25. Funimation licensed the four-part anime and released the first episode of a special imported edition in August.
