The 2015 spring anime season is about to begin, just over a month away and along with it one of the most anticipated titles by the public is back: Gintama! The new anime in the franchise had its premiere date scheduled for April 8th on TV Tokyo and will be broadcast every Wednesday at 6:00 pm (Japan time).
Gintama had a season of 201 episodes in 2006, a season of 51 in 2011 and another season of 13 in 2012.
The anime is inspired by the original manga by Hideaki Sorachi, which has been published in the Japanese anthology Shonen Jump since 2003 and currently has 57 volumes published in its country of origin. The story revolves around the adventures of Gintoki, a samurai who works as a handyman during the Edo era in Japan. The problem is that the jobs he takes are the most bizarre possible and everything always ends in a lot of confusion.
