Gintama: The Final , the new film Gintama franchise , has already sold a total of 1.25 million tickets , earning a total of 1.74 billion yen this Monday. The film's character designer and chief animation director, Shinji Takeuchi , drew the following illustration to celebrate the milestone:
The film premiered on January 8th in Japan and ranked 1st at the box office.
