Warner Bros Japan then streamed a new clip on Tuesday dedicated to the film Gintama: THE FINAL . The clip shows former friends and enemies Gintoki , Takasugi , and Katsura reuniting.
The film debuted at #1 in Japan on January 8th, ending the reign of Kimetsu no Yaiba , which held the top spot at the Japanese box office for 12 consecutive weekends. The film has already grossed a cumulative total of 1,061,255,420 yen (approximately R$ 544,954.66 ).
Gintama: THE FINAL is therefore based on the manga , incorporating new story elements.
