Girl Friend BETA website announced that the game has been greenlit for an anime adaptation. More details about the anime will be revealed at the press conference, which will be held at the UDX Akihabara Theater in Tokyo. The cast will also be announced at the conference, the website promises to announce the “extravagant voice cast” in the coming days.
The site is also announcing that the game will have a manga version that has already been greenlit, and will begin serialization in the September issue of Kadokawa Dengeki Maoh . More details about the manga will be released in August.
Blogging site Cyber Agente Ameba started service for the smartphone game in 2012. As of 2014, the number of registered users has surpassed four million. The game features over a hundred girls for the player to date, each voiced by a different voice actress. Some of the game's cast include Yui Ogura as Momoko Asahina, Nana Inoue as Kazumi Kawaguchi, Megumi Toyoguchi as Akiho Shigeto, and Yukari Tamura as Koruri Takitani.
