Girl Friend BETA website announced that the game has been greenlit for an anime adaptation. More details about the anime will be revealed at a press conference to be held at the UDX Akihabara Theater in Tokyo. The cast will also be announced at the conference; the website promises to reveal the "extravagant voice cast" in the coming days.
The website is also announcing that the game will have a manga adaptation, which has already been greenlit, and will begin the series in the September issue of Kadokawa Dengeki Maoh . More details about the manga will be released in August.
The blogging site Cyber Agent Ameba launched the service for the smartphone game in 2012. As of 2014, the number of registered users exceeded four million. The game features over one hundred girls for the player to date, each voiced by a different voice actress. Some of the game's cast includes Yui Ogura as Momoko Asahina, Nana Inoue as Kazumi Kawaguchi, Megumi Toyoguchi as Akiho Shigeto, and Yukari Tamura as Koruri Takitani.
