Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent Anime Premieres in 2027
The anime Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent (Megane, Tokidoki, Yankee-kun) revealed its first voice cast members and confirmed an April 2027 premiere. The production adapts the manga by Naruki. The announcement came this Thursday (1) with the release of the first promotional video.
The series will air on ABC TV and TV Asahi's Animazing!!! programming block starting in April 2027. The anime will also be available on ABEMA, but a streaming release date has not yet been announced.
The confirmed cast includes Hiroto Shimizu as Dan Ichikura, Suzuko Hara as Hiro Momose, and Yuma Tomochika as Ohana-chan.
Anime production
Makoto Hoshino is directing the series at Studio Flad and Wao World. Megumi Shimizu is handling the scripts, while Ruriko Watanabe is responsible for character design.
The story of Glasses With a Chance
The story follows Momose, a student who wants a peaceful high school life. Everything changes when she meets Ichikura, a boy with glasses who seems harmless but hides a past as a delinquent during middle school.
Naruki launched the manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine in January 2021. The 11th volume was published on May 13, 2026. The series also debuted in English through Seven Seas Entertainment and the K MANGA service.
