NTV has Kousuke Oono manga Gokushufudou ( The Way of the House Husband ) live-action adaptation in October of this year.
The series will star Hiroshi Tamaki ( Nodame Cantabile, Ooku: The Inner Chambers ) as the protagonist Tatsu, with Toichiro Ruto ( Ossan Love ) as director and Uda Manabu ( 99.9 -Keiji Senmon Bengoshi- ) is one of the scriptwriters.
Synopsis
Tatsu the "immortal" is a former yakuza who abandoned a life of violence to become a househusband and support his salaryman wife Miku, but even so he manages to get into trouble, however instead of being fights in dark alleys, they are arguments over discounts at the market.
Previously, the manga had already gained a brief live-action adaptation in December of last year in a commercial starring Kenjiro Tsuda as Tatsu and Maaya Sakamoto as Miku, check it out below:
Furthermore, Kousuke Oono's Gokushufudou has been published by Shinchosha in Brunch Comics ( print ) and Kurage Bunchi ( digital ) since February 2018, with 5 volumes so far. In 2018, Gokushufudou ranked first in the Overall and Comedy categories of Pixiv's Comic Ranking and ranked second in the "Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2018 .
