Among the night's big winners, "Helldivers 2" shone in three categories: Best Multiplayer Game , Console Game of the Year , and the prestigious Critics' Choice Award . The game's combination of tactical cooperation and engaging gameplay earned it recognition from both the audience and the judges.

Additionally, the Best Original Score went to "Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth ," which also took home the Best Story . These recognitions reinforce the impact of the narrative and musical production on the game's immersive experience.

A tribute to independents and creative design

In the indie scene, "Another Crab's Treasure" stood out as Best Self-Published Indie Game , while "Balatro" received two awards: Best Indie Game and the Choice Breakthrough . These successes demonstrate the strength of independent studios in delivering creative and memorable offerings.

The award for Best Visual Design went to “Black Myth: Wukong” , which continues to impress with its graphic quality and innovative use of technology to bring to life a universe inspired by Chinese mythology.

Long-standing technical recognition

The hardware category also stood out, with the Steam Deck OLED named Best Gaming Device . In the expansions category, the highly anticipated "Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree" was recognized as Best Expansion , cementing the original game's lasting impact.

"Still Playing" category , which recognizes games with continued relevance, Minecraft once again demonstrated its global influence. In the mobile segment, the highlight was "Honkai: Star Rail ," reinforcing the growth of the mobile gaming market.
