Kadokawa announced this Tuesday (24), the anime adaptation of the manga Gorilla no Kami Kara Kago Sareta Reijō wa Ōritsu Kishidan de Kawaiigareru (The Lady Blessed by the Gorilla God Is Adored by the Royal Knights).

Synopsis:

The fantasy, described as a "gorilla romantic comedy like you've never seen before," is set in a world where, upon turning 16, people can receive the blessings of various animal gods. However, the story follows the journey of Sofia Reeler, a shy countess who, by chance, is blessed by the Gorilla God—known as the most powerful god in combat.

Gorilla no Kami is a Japanese web novel series written by Shirohi. The work was published online between August 2020 and 2021 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website, a user-generated novel publishing platform. To date, the series has not yet been published in print. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Mika Kamisu , began publishing online on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website in August 2021. Since then, the manga has been compiled into five tankōbon volumes.
