Gotham, a series about Bruce Wayne's (Batman's) childhood, has been officially picked up by Fox and will have 13 episodes.
The cast includes Ben McKenzie , Donal Logue, Robin Lord Taylor, Sean Pertwee, Zabryna Guevara, Erin Richard, Cory Michael Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Mazouz and Drew Powell.
The story follows Gordon, who will be the protagonist of the series. The first case to be investigated by the policeman, in the pilot episode, will be the death of Bruce Wayne's (Mazouz) parents. Filming is scheduled for March. The series is produced by Bruno Heller, of The Mentalist, and the pilot is directed by Danny Cannon. The series is expected to premiere in the 2014/2015 season.
