Synopsis:
Three years ago, WIT Studio captivated the world with the dizzying antics and ingenious plots of the GREAT PRETENDER series. This time, this new action-adventure film follows Dorothy, the self-proclaimed genius of the art of deception, who recruited the infamous Laurent Thierry into a life of crime. Recently, she was defeated at her own game by Shanghai Longu Bang and is presumed dead, but soon reappears in a small seaside village. Pursued by the Taipei underworld, she heads to Kyoto, but what awaits her there?!
Thus, Great Pretender is directed by Hiro Kaburagi (Hozuki's Coolheadedness), with a screenplay by Ryota Kosawa (Parasyte live-action), character design by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion, FLCL), and a musical score by Yutaka Yamada (Tokyo Ghoul, Vinland Saga).
