Rockstar Games can turn GTA 6 into an interactive creation platform, similar to Roblox and Fortnite. According to sources from the Digiday site, the developer has kept conversations with creators of these platforms to explore the insertion of a system that allows players to modify the environment and create personalized experiences within the game.
Although the company has not made an official announcement, the information was released by three industry sources that accompany these meetings. If the initiative is confirmed, GTA 6 may adopt a content model generated by users (UGC), which would represent a significant change for the franchise.
Rockstar can expand interactivity in GTA 6
The possibility of a creative system within GTA 6 makes sense considering the franchise's history. GTA 5, released in 2013, remains one of the most watched games on Twitch, largely due to custom servers and rolling (RP), driven by mods as fought.
The importance of this type of modification did not go unnoticed by Rockstar, which in 2023 acquired the company responsible for the FEPE. This movement was seen as a strategic step in integrating and regulating content creation within their games. As a result, a more structured model within GTA 6 could officialize and expand these possibilities.
Monetization can be one of the game's differentials
If the game adopts a creative system similar to that of Roblox and Fortnite, players could not only modify the virtual world but also monetize their creations. Roblox currently allows users to profit from personalized experiences, while Fortnite has implemented a recipe transfer system for map creators.
It is not yet known how Rockstar would structure this digital economy, but the presence of experienced developers in these conversations suggests that the company studies a viable model to monetize the content created by players.
GTA 6 Launching follows undefined
Rockstar has not officially confirmed the release date of GTA 6, but it should arrive in 2025. Meanwhile, the expectation around the title continues to grow, especially with rumors about possible news and innovations.
If the developer actually implement an interactive creation platform, GTA 6 could become a milestone for the franchise. Thus, expanding interactivity and attracting both casual players and content creators. The impact of this approach can redefine experience within the game universe, establishing a new pattern for the open world genre.
