Rockstar Games may transform GTA 6 into an interactive creation platform, similar to Roblox and Fortnite. According to sources from the Digiday website, the developer has been in talks with creators of these platforms to explore the inclusion of a system that allows players to modify the environment and create personalized experiences within the game.
Although the company has not made an official announcement, the information was released by three industry sources who have been following these meetings. If the initiative is confirmed, GTA 6 could adopt a user-generated content (UGC) model, which would represent a significant change for the franchise.

Rockstar may expand interactivity in GTA 6
The possibility of a crafting system within GTA 6 makes sense considering the franchise's history. GTA 5, released in 2013, remains one of the most-watched games on Twitch, largely due to custom servers and role-playing (RP), boosted by mods like FiveM.
The importance of this type of modification did not go unnoticed by Rockstar, which in 2023 acquired the company responsible for FiveM. This move was seen as a strategic step to integrate and regulate content creation within its games. With this, a more structured model within GTA 6 could formalize and expand these possibilities.
Monetization could be one of the game's differentiating factors
If the game adopts a creation system similar to Roblox and Fortnite, players could not only modify the virtual world but also monetize their creations. Currently, Roblox allows users to profit from customized experiences, while Fortnite has implemented a revenue-sharing system for map creators.
It is not yet known how Rockstar would structure this digital economy, but the presence of experienced developers in these discussions suggests that the company is studying a viable model for monetizing content created by players.

GTA 6 release date remains undefined
Rockstar has not yet officially confirmed the release date for GTA 6, but it is expected to arrive sometime in 2025. Meanwhile, anticipation surrounding the title continues to grow, especially with rumors about possible new features and innovations.
If the developer truly implements an interactive creation platform, GTA 6 could become a landmark for the franchise, thus expanding interactivity and attracting both casual players and content creators. The impact of this approach could redefine the experience within the game's universe, setting a new standard for the open-world genre.
